Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had to see if these lived up to Rep. I was looking for a replacement for the OEM Metzlers on my 06 Thruxton, and size was a concern; the rear wheel is an oddball size. My Triumph mechanic had been raving about these Battlax for a while, said his other Thruxton/Bonnie customers were really happy with them. He explained that the compound was of variable density, with harder, more durable rubber in the center, and softer compound towards the sides, so the crowns wouldn't flatten so quickly, but the tires would still have good cornering grip. I had to try them, as my Metzlers wore down quickly and unevenly with flat crowns/sharp edges as a result. The Battlax did everything they promised! Round, even wear with plenty of confidence inspiring grip in wet and dry conditions. Tires stayed in balance, never developed shimmys or "hop", and gave me superior acceleration /stopping grip!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems good so far Bought a low mileage 86 FJ1200 still wearing its original tires so these feel much better. Read good reviews about them on the Naked Goldwing site, price was good and for my riding style they should do the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bias ply street tire These Battlax tires are the best I've found for my 70's vintage street bikes, 2 and 4 stroke. Metzlers are close, but considerably more money. Even my older Italian bikes like the Bridgestones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too easy I have experienced these tires on my Cafe Racer and I have been very pleased with grip and durability. My recent purchase of front and rear Battlax are for my current build which is not on the road yet but, look great on my freshly polished spoked rims. Dealing with Fort-nine was a breeze and fast. I will ordering again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great tyre at a great price This tyre is useful because of its wide range of applications. I've used it on a sportbike and a modern retro. Adequate grip in all weathers and moderately hard wearing. Easy to install, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tire Nice tire. Good blend of sport and touring. Still grippy when pushed like a sport but doesn't wear quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted. I brought this to replace the the tire supplied originally. The old tire had 16,000 km on it and the grip was good, so it suited my style of riding and gave acceptable wear. With that in mind, choosing a different tire wasn't really an option. So I ordered one a delivery was excellent. What more could I ask?
