Now on: I’ll use these on every wheel.
I’ve used these on a carbon rim and an alloy one. With alloy: they reduce the friction between nipples & rim. On both, it seems they reduce local stresses of nipple-on-rim, reducing the likelihood of cracks forming around the nipple holes.
