Great filter had to modify to make it fit
Picked up this filter. said it was a guaranteed fit for my 1987 GL1200A.
the indent on the top of the filter is not deep enough to allow the cover to go back on.
Otherwise a good quality filter at a good value.

Yes you can provided they are not really bad meaning well passed there service life. Low compressed air from back side running up and down. Now having said that if the filter is really dirty meaning black and you can not see threw when holding up to light it is done...Period
