Designed to keep you dry through the worst trail conditions, they are constructed with a fully seam-sealed interior and use a lightweight, 3-layer main body fabric that is waterproof, windproof, and breathable. To bump up the moisture protection, these pants feature a DWR finish to shed moisture, dirt, and trail debris. When you're flying down the trail, the strategically placed Cordura® in the Defend 3 L Water Pants adds protection against brush, while the pants use a mountain-bike-specific fit to leave room for knee guards.

Not that great
For the money, I would expect these to be the best riding pants made, but I was disappointed. Based on other reviews, I went with the 36 instead of the 34 to get the extra length. The length was good, but the waist strap doesn't close up enough to compensate for the size up.
While riding, I find the rubbery material sticks to the saddle, so any movement causes the already low cut pants to pull down in the back even more.
Compared to the pants MEC used to sell 10 years ago for a fraction of the price, these are a disappointment.

Great wet weather pant
Amazing waterproof pant. If you like fox pants usually, you'll love these!! Have worn them in absolute downpour and stayed dry. If they were 1-2 inches longer that'd be even better but still long enough!
