The lightweight Giro Coalition™ Spherical combines Spherical Technology™ powered by MIPS® and Progressive Layering featuring both EPP and EPS foam, with best-in-class ventilation and the added protection of the innovative Halo System chinbar.
Precisely, the inner Spherical Technology by MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)is a two-piece parted energy absorbing liner. It consists of a spherical piece and a pseudo-spherical piece that are layered on top of each other to move independently from each other. The design provides seamless integration, a comfortable fit, and allows for incorporated ventilation, thereby lowering the risk of injuries.
Only Giro could design an impressively lightweight full-face helmet that still provides heavyweight protection. Just 800 grams in M/L, this NTA-certified MTB helmet still packs the punch of Spherical Technology™ powered by MIPS® while Progressive Layering with EPP and EPS foam optimizes management of both high-speed and low-speed impacts.
Coalition Spherical delivers best-in-class cooling power by pairing massive front intake ports with efficient rear exhaust vents via deep internal channeling. Coalition's most impressive innovation lies hidden inside: the patent-pending Halo System combines a chinbar with Pebax® (a material that is engineered to provide the perfect range of flex and rigidity) and elastomeric bushings that are integrated into the EPS to absorb and dissipate kinetic forces. The result is a helmet that exceeds standard chinbar deflection certification testing by almost 2x.
Comfort is maximized with the DryCore™ sweat management brow pad, IONIC+™ treatments to control odor, and two sets of removable cheek pads to help fine-tune fit.
