Looks good
Installed guard soon as I received it.
Some reviews had mentioned fitment issues.
If you install in this sequence it will go on fairly easy. Took some playing to figure out.
Attach the 2 engine mounts on one side only very loose.
Then get the 3 bolts at the steering head started but fairly loose. Tighten the one that has the joiner fitting fairly snug to make it easier to get other 2 started.
Then do other 2 engine bolts and tighten all 7 bolts and your done.
No prying required

nice ,but little disapointed
nice finish ,well made ,but mount points : 1 out of 5 was off by 1/2 in,that made installing it time consuming.

They are what they are.
They do their job. No complaints. Install isn't as easy as it could. Had to trim 1cm of plastic to make get one bolt head to clear. The front piece is hard to get to meet up properly, I had to use a random bolt to line it up and compress it to put the proper bolt in. But both issues were pretty minor.

Great looks, but makes noise
Installed it on my 2016, Givi's website says it will fit, however it needed some modification with the front fasteners. I needed to drill out the holes, witch I beleive does void the warranty. Because of the bad fit, it rattĺes when the bike is reved above 6000 rpm.
Other than those headaches, i love the look and the added protection.

Love it & it works
Works very well . Fitment was not an issue for me; I put it together (with a spare set of hands) but left every attachment point lose, and tightened everything incrementally from there. No noise for me while riding. I dropped my bike one day while it was fully loaded up (GIVI panniers full and top bag) and the engine guard did it's job. There was a small scratch on the guard, case, and hand guard, no damage to the bike at all. Also, it looks really good.

ok if you can fit it!
Bought this guard for my wife's cb5x. Oce I put it together found out the holes are not machined in the correct spots. Had to drill new mounting holes to get it to fit. Welds could be cleaner. Over all sloppy desighn. If you dont take the time to fix all the little things like adding washers etc. It will add stress to the frame. Almost like a mass production item not so much bike focused. After fixing everything and fitting it properly looks good and sturdy. Hope it works. Not eager to find out.

Almost great
The 2019 Cb500x has wider fairings, so the guards touch them, and don’t have any clearances. They sit tight up against the fairings so not a huge deal. Also the forks hit the crash guards and impede the turning radius. Givi will need to redesign these for the 2019 models
