Great.
I realy like this plate. Kappa K48 mounts very securely (see note below), lots a tie down points/slots for nylon webbing, and it’s black.
It’s also a substantial size for supporting a soft bag when I’m running the Rigg-Gear Adventure bag instead of a hard case, which I use for when I’m playing around since it won’t smash to pieces in the event of a drop. Although, that bag is big enough that it still overhangs the plate causing some compression when clamped down, but this was easily solved with a $10 black kneeling pad from the garden centre of Lowe’s, which I put on top of the plate to act as a base for the bag, and you can’t even tell it’s there.
I would recommend using loctite on the mounting bolts, and going slightly under the torque specs recommenced in the instructions lest you strip the heads of the bolts or snap the shafts. Yes, I can attest to this firsthand, but it came with a couple extra, so no big deal. And yes, I know what I’m doing and it definitely was not operator error. Just be careful.
Important Note: Have a look at the nut and bolt that fasten the two little tophats that the back of the case clips to on each side, and add loctite and retighten if necessary. After about 6000km, I noticed one of mine had loosened to the point that it was about to fall off. So keep an eye on them. While I’m not sure if I would’ve lost the K48 topbox or not, it would no doubt be laborious to source a replacement tophats and hardware. Lucky and thankful that I noticed it when I did, thank you convoluted Suzuki V-Strom rear brake bleed procedure.

Did not fit - had to exchange for M8
I bought for a 2017 Africa Twin along with brackets. The brackets would fit but not the M9 plate. After asking Fortnine that having to call GIVI USA they recommended returning it and putting the older M8 design instead. That turned out working well.
