People have told me over the years how amazing heated grips are. How they extend your riding season and make each outing more enjoyable. These must me the people who either don't need oven mitts to take their poutine fries out or have never had a trans fat in their life and have amazing circulation.
Heated grips keep your palm warm while the back of your hand gets cold. In fact, heated grips get uncomfortably hot on your palms while the backs of your hands get uncomfortably cold. I've bought into the heated grips sensation, but they are like installing in floor heating on your driveway - useless at keeping you warm.
But then you put a cover over your hands, these Motorcycle Muffs, and suddenly your hands are perfect. -10C? Medium. 0C? Low. Just fired up the bike and it's chilly? Set your grips to high. In all temperatures (except above 25C) I've ridden with these, and in the rain to. They may look silly, but then when you take your warm, dry gloves off it's all worth it.
But you know what these are even better at than keeping your hands warm? Keeping your hands clean. Adv riders know how mucky it can be ripping a gravel road when it's raining, or even how gross all the kick up from wet roads is. My gloves are beautiful and clean and safe to put in the same pocket as items I'd rather not get dirty.
Be warned tho, these don't pack down small. they take up as much space as my Klim jacket. And I had to turn my bars up a bit so they would be more comfy standing.

Extend your riding season...
I bought these to use on my F6B, as the airflow around the fairing seems to pass right over the grips. Although the fit is intended for a bike with hand guards (like my WeeStrom), they can be made to work , even with the large switchgear on the GoldWing. They're not quite as easy to use as Hippo Hands, but those have not been made for quite some time. They certainly made it more comfortable riding when the temperature was hovering around zero C.

Not good not bad Just fair for the price....
PROS:
1- you can use your summer gloves with this.
2- Price is very reasonable vs hippo hands
3- it comes with a store away bag
4- Easily mounted- V-Strom 2012
CONS
1- The opening is too small and its tricky to put hands in without looking.
2- They are short and not covering the jacket sleeves! you know what will happen on the high way.
3- They collected water on the left one as the bike was leaning to the left while on the stand.
its a good project but not yet ready unless you need it for occasional use.

Fits great
Easy installation on my Tenere 700. Cuff opening is ridged enough to stay open and round while riding allowing your hand in and out at speed.

Warm hands!
They keep your hands warm and hopefully dry (Have not tried them in the rain yet). Only downside I could find is that the inner lip makes it so that when I try to take my hands out my gloves get caught, which is quite unnverving, but to be fair, I do not have any kind of barkbusters or anything like that so that could be the problem.

Good Quality Product
Quick delivery and easy installation. This quality product can be installed or removed in less than five minutes and really keeps your hands warm on chilly rides. I have yet to test it in wet conditions. The fit is pretty good on my KTM 1290 SAS but I wish the hand openings were just a little larger to enable easier grabbing of the handle bars and some visibility for the myriad of controls on most modern motorcycles.

Handlebar Muffs
Well pleased with these handlebar muffs ... do a wonderful job of keeping the weather off and hands toasty. Easy to move from one bike to another and seem well put together to boot.

Phenomenal
Purchased these in December in anticipation of spring riding. Finally got a chance to try them out this past week. Riding in the early March morning at a balmy -5 celsius I did about 60km of highway 100kph +. I have experience with heated grips from past bikes but the bar muffs blew me away. As a stand alone I would suggest these over heated grips. They are a simple install and removal and happy to say they do not feel as sketchy as I worried they might be, actually quite easy to take my hands out and slide them back in.

Questions
Do you need to have hands guards to use these muffs? Because I don't have any hands guards.
Yes, if you don't have hand guards the wind will push the muffs and actuate the front brake and clutch. yeah. I tried it. Not safe.

Do they fit over barkbuster handguards?
I can't confirm that they fit that brand, but they are designed to go over hand guards, and they fit over the guards on my V-Strom.

Are they worth it if my bike does not have heated grips?
Yep, I dont have heated grips either and they make a huge difference just by themselves

Are these muffs water proof or water resistant ?
Yes used them in 9 hours rides that rained all day, also good for riding when it's really cold and heated grips are not enough.
