HFA3619 air filter for Suzuki AN650 Burgman
The HiFlo Filtro products and manufacturing process meet and have passed the high standards of the German TÜV Certification Body. This in itself is an affirmation that their products are of the highest quality and should meet and/or exceed the OEM products quality, standards and specifications.
I have not yet installed this air filter, this will be done at my next scheduled oil and maintenance service in about 2500 kms however overall when compared side by side with the corresponding Suzuki OEM air filter they are dimensionally the same everything looks good in as far as a visual comparison, the rubberized rim and filter element look of high quality as well, no doubt in my mind that this filter will fit the air filter box just as well as the Suzuki OEM air filter which sells at a Suzuki dealer parts dept for between $39.00 and $42.00 so the HiFlo Filtro air filter should be considered a strong OEM replacement contender for your aftermarket replacement filter.
I have found one difference however that is of concern, the back side on this air filter has a steel plate which is drilled with 100's of holes and this plate has very sharp perimeter edges from the shearing process during manufacturing that can cut your hands and fingers very easily, so be very careful when handling, installing and cleaning it, the Suzuki OEM filter has a stainless mesh screen with a closed roll steel perimeter rim around it preventing cuts and injury, the OEM open screen type air filter may also allow more air to pass however I have no way of scientifically or mechanically measuring this and this factor may finally not be of importance or have any effect at all in the end.
I think this filter is a good deal and alternative at its current selling price of $25.74 Canadian.
