Amazing Sport Bike Helmet (especially for $599)I bought the RPHA 11 Pro last week after trying on a variety of helmets in the same category. to my surprise HJC's RPHA 11 was in my opinion the best looking and best fitting of all the 2016/2017 models. I upgraded from a AGV GP Tech and I have no regrets.
And who can complain getting both a clear and smoke visor in the box?
...HJC I am impressed!

Really impressed with HJCJust received today in the mail, HJC, I am impressed!! Quality is wicked and comes with extra goodies. A pinlock screen and a extra smokes lens. Can’t go wrong with that. I went a size up and the fit is perfect. I was a bit hesitant with what I bought but glad I went with it!! Almost paid full price but well worth it!! Thanks fortnine!!

Very Nice Helmet - but not PerfectRPHA 11 Pro Jarban
Love the look of this helmet.
The shape is aerodynamic, and it is not tall/pointy at the top like some others.
The design with the black and red striping was just minimalist enough for my taste.
When it arrived, however, there were two defects.
1. The cheek pads were mismatched. It looked like they had a medium on one side and a large on the other. Weird.
2. The (right) side of the helmet squeaks/creaks really bad. Not sure why this is, but it is super noticeable and annoying (in a quiet environment). It is not normal and I do not experience it with other helmets. It almost seems to come from the shell on the lower-right, and might even have to do with the design of the strap on that side.
Chin Guard:
The chin guard is quite difficult to install.
It is definitely a very very tight fit, but you (will) get it on there. Eventually.
Ear Comfort:
Another thing I noticed was that the area where your ears are supposed to go - is too small (not tall enough). I do not have large ears, yet this helmet causes mine to fold down when putting the helmet on, and I then have to wedge my fingers up on each side to straighten my ears out on the inside.
I recall seeing another youtube reviewer mentioning this as well - so there must be something to it.
Sizing:
Do NOT, I repeat - do NOT listen to some of the advice telling you to choose the next size UP for this helmet. It definitely does feel very snug (at first) - but the padding settles-in very quickly (about 4 wears for me) - to the point that it fits perfectly.
If I had followed the advice of others telling you to size-up - then I would be stuck with a helmet that is too large after a few times wearing it.
Just buy the size according to the sizing chart - and deal with the short-term snugness, as it will resolve itself in a short time.
Sound:
While this helmet is much quieter than my previous one - I would not say that it was a quiet helmet. Ear plugs are still recommended, if you value your hearing.
Visor:
The tinted visor is really cool looking (from the outside).
I thought that it would be too dark - but that's not the case at all.
It provides a definitely darker shade, but it is not too dark at all.
It just (looks) that way from the outside. I love it.
Also, the fact that they include a pinlock is great also.
I bought an extra one for the clear visor - when I decide to ride at night.
FortNine CS:
I returned my first helmet - due to the two defects (mismatched pads and squeaking/creaking right side).
FortNine was great with the return.
The replacement helmet had proper pads.
The squeaky/creaky right side existed on the replacement helmet, too - unfortunately. I chose to just live with it, however.
This is something that HJC needs to look at, as it must be some sort of manufacturing issue.
Overall I really do like the helmet - even with some of the gripes mentioned above.

Awesome HelmetThe graphics are impressive. The black has metallic flakes that shimmer at different angles, neat feature. The Venom mouth itself isn't as bright as shown in the pictures... A bit faded. However, the entire helmet looks awesome.
The weight is better compared to most, great interior, and shell. Has plenty of venting.
Have not yet tested it as it is winter, but this helmet is a lot better than my previous Scorpion.

Super light and comfyThis helmet is very light. HJC's always fit to size; I'm at the bigger end of large and the L is perfect. Well made, love the extra tinted shield. Now the noise rating.; after shifting around on my bike trying to determine if the noise is helmet related or dirty air coming off the bike. The air seems to want to come up under the front chin guard and can cause some low frequency noise; this is the only issue I have with this helmet otherwise it's stellar.

Great lidNot purchased on this site but the reviews here definitely convinced me to buy it.
This is my 2nd helmet, upgrading from the HJC IS-17.
Riding a naked bike, the RPHA 11 is surprisingly quiet, very confortable (no pressure points and light !), airflow is incredible. Aerodynamics of the helmet at highway speeds is great. Looking over the shoulder isn't a problem and you don't feel like your head will rip off your shoulders: +1
Some people talk about this helmet being better in a tucked position : it is definitely a more racing oriented lid, but it remains very confortable nonetheless at speeds on a naked bike.
The 2 visors and Pinlock insert is definitely appreciated. +1
Just do it, go get one.

RPHA 11 ProI bought this helmet to replace my HJC-IS-17. It fits perfectly XL with 61 cm. Head. Nice and light and I believe it will be quieter without the drop down sun shield that the IS-17 has. The only complaint is the ratchet assembly for the shield is not as strong as the IS-17. I solved the problem by switching the parts from my old helmet. They are different part numbers IS-17 is AHJ20-G3002. RHPA 11 Pro is AHJ26-G3003. but the old one works great on the new helmet and holds the shield secure in every position. I would not have been happy with the original shield not holding in all the different positions while riding. I think HJC needs to address why their top line helmet has an inferior part than an old entry level helmet has.

I wear a small Arai, would I order a medium HJC?
Asked by: Andrew
The sizing on different helmet brands can be different, as well as the head shape.
I woudl suggest using the HJC sizing chart providing on the our item page, or to do research in terms of the head shapes for both helmets.
