Description

Comfort, Optics and Strength. National Cycle revolutionizes windscreen performance with the VStream® Windscreen! The patented "V" shape and advanced dimensional contours push the wind vortex away from the rider's head, resulting in a peaceful, quiet riding environment. The passenger's comfort is improved as well. FMR hardcoated polycarbonate is used for outstanding optics and impact strength 23 times better than acrylic. This is one tough windscreen! The specially designed VStream mounting clamps for the Ducati Monster® are strong, lightweight, and easy to install. The arms are designed to afford maximum stiffness and minimum weight without any compromise in structural integrity. Black wrinkle finish powdercoat matches the texture of the OEM lower triple clamps. Reduced wind noise - less turbulence - superior strength - perfect style. The VStream revolution is here!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meets expectations On the FJR the stock windshield is 17 inches. At 5'7", 31" arms and 30" inseam with a modular helmet the two best positons were all the way down or all the way up. In between the turbulance and noise was worse. As the wind would change the windshield would be moving up and down frequently to find the quietest position. The VStream is 3 inches taller so at the lowest setting I was getting turbulence like the stock windshield part way up. Not as bad, but worse than the stock in the lowest setting. As I brought it up to just below eye level it became much quieter than stock as it is higher I was comfortnble leaving it there fro the day in spite of varying wind speeds and directions. There is still a couple of inches of travel left for inclement weather. At just below eye level I do not get the buffeting in heavier winds like the stock windshield and can hear the music clearly even in 40 to 60 kph cross winds. There is a calm air pocket behind the windshield so I do not feel as much airflow around the helmet or chest. At temperatures above 22*C I needed to open helmet vents to get some airflow across my face. I would rate it a significant improvement over the stock windhield.
