Good wind protection but too much buffeting
I picked this up for my 2013 BMW F700GS about a month ago. My main hopes were to replace the tiny stock windscreen and reduce some wind and noise. I'll also acknowledge that I realize windscreen's and people's experiences are very subjective. We're all different shapes and sizes, so take this with a gain of salt.
The Puig does do a great job of reducing the wind for me (5'8" 30" inseam) however it introduced a lot of wind buffeting on my helmet. Each time I went for a ride I came home with a headache and what felt like double vision. I asked my fiancé to take it for a ride and she experienced the same phenomenon. She's about 5'6".
So instead of removing the touring screen, it I decided to double down and ordered the Puig Visor in hopes that I could change the direction of the wind so as to reduce buffeting and turbulence. While this did make it somewhat better in some situations, it actually made it worse in others. I spent a 3 hour ride last weekend trying there visor in every possible position to no avail. The turbulence on my head was just too much no matter what I tried. It has made it so I don't enjoy riding the bike as it is.
I'm at the point where the stock one will likely go back on until I can research another option.
On a side note, I think it looks great on the bike in the light smoke tint. Takes the f700 from looking like a weird dirt bike to a proper adv bike. Some of the pics I saw of it online made me nervous, however I think it looks quite good now that it's on,
