The Gibson adds some ruggedness to your ride - in terms of looks, that is. Sporting four front pockets and the robust unhidden zippers, the Gibson means business. The characteristic pull-up cowhide leather creates a nicely worn-in effect over time, meaning the jacket will break in and age according to the use you put it through.
REV'IT! has incorporated its extremely thin SEESMART™ CE-level 1 protectors, though REV'IT!'s designers still maintained a clean and tailored silhouette. The Gibson is prepared for REV'IT!'s SEESOFT™ CE-Level 2 back protector, and you can attach the jacket to your jeans with the short connection zipper using REV'IT!'s Safeway belt. Because the Gibson is bound to become your favorite jacket, we included a detachable thermal liner allowing you to ride in style even when temperatures aren't ideal.

Love this JacketWatched all the online video reviews and went with the size based on the sizing chart (I’m 6’ 230 lbs so I went with a size 56. It was snug with all the armor in but I don’t ride with the armor anyway. Once removed the jacket fit perfect. Quality is first rate. This jacket will last a long time.

Awesome JacketThe best way to describe this jacket is awesome. The leather is thick but supple; the jacket will age beautifully. I was concerned about sizing and after watching a few reviews I decided to go with a 56 even though based on the reviews it should have been a 54. The jacket is a slim fit so if you like to wear a hoodie or sweatshirt underneath I'd consider a size up. I'm 6' and weigh 230 (44 chest and 38 waist).

The way it should be!I purchased this jacket and had the opportunity to ride 700 kms recently. This jacket not only looks good, it performs even better. I was tired of jackets with (Logo's). This one has none. It looks so good that I have worn it out on the town. It is a classy jacket with no frills. The leather is very high quality and feels luxurious but make no mistake. It is a serious motorcycle jacket with top safety features. The wind, warm or cold will not penetrate the inside. I rode with the inner liner but have not had a chance to test it in warmer weather. Super comfortable and good looking. Very satisfied. I could have gone a size up but I know she will stretch and age nicely. Do yourself a favour and get a real Moto-jacket. This ones the deal. Thank-you Fort-Nine for fast and excellent service.

Good, not greatThe best thing about this jacket is the style. It looks fantastic. The leather feels nice and soft. I am 5'10" and 160lbs and usually wear small, and the small size fit me perfectly (fitting a sweater underneath would be too tight to be comfortable; but the next size up would be too large). A great feature is the fabric armpits which are very effective for airflow. The pockets are large and well-placed. The jacket also seems pretty warm with the liner. I only needed a t-shirt under it in 15C PNW spring weather.
There are a few downsides to this jacket though. The armor is stiff and make the jacket too uncomfortable to wear. After receiving the jacket, I immediately ordered 4 Revit Seesmart RV31 to replace it, plus a Revit Seesoft RV Back Protector. This makes the jacket much more comfortable. In addition, the armor pockets are infuriatingly inaccessible and very difficult to get the armor into position. Very poorly designed.
The liner seems to make the jacket warm, although I haven't tried the jacket without it yet. Regardless of its warmth, the liner is poorly designed. It is attached with one long zipper along the top and sides, but the bottom is unattached. This means every time I slip on the jacket, I get the bottom of the linker caught in my arm holes and I have to untangle myself. Another problem is that installing or uninstalling the liner a lot more difficult than it needs to be, since there is no way to access the inside of the sleeve. Although the forearm of the jacket has helpful zippers, opening the zipper does not open the arm, but the two sides are connected by material, preventing access further up the sleeve. It's a very bad design. I'm going to have the jacket modified so that the zipper opens the sleeve, because this design causes another problem...
The cuffs have a flap with a snap that covers the arm-zipper pull. Unfortunately, on my jacket, the snap is too far away and I have to crimp the zipper to get the snap together. The crimped zipper, in addition to the already crimped extra fabric between the two zipper sides is quite uncomfortable while wearing the jacket (see pics). However, I'm hoping that removing the zipper fabric will solve this.
Anyway, I like the look and - for the most part - the feel of the jacket. I'm a bit disappointed that after paying $550 for a jacket, I had to replace the armor for $115 and still have to get it modified to fix design defects, but it's still the best jacket I've found.

Hi
Thanks LeeH, but keep in perpective that Rev’it usually made their clothes a little bit larger that they pretend. For me at 42 in chest, 5,11 feets and 184 pounds, Revit chart recommend me a size 52 but the size 50 fit me more appropriately. I know because I try them both :). Also if you see all the reviews on the web they will all recommend to go one size down with all Revit products and this terrific Gibson leather jacket is not an exception. Thanks
