                  Description

Keep riding in comfort and safety despite rising temperatures with the REV'IT! Airwave 3 Ladies jacket. It's both stylish and affordable, making sure you look good without breaking the bank. Go ahead, challenge the heat!

The Airwave 3 Ladies is created with PWR|shell mesh panels at the front, back, and arms, allowing for a continuous flow of air to keep the rider cool out on the open road. Abrasion-resistant stretch ripstop chest panels help improve comfort and flexibility on the bike while adjustment tabs on the arms, and straps on the hips, will help riders achieve the perfect fit every time. On the safety side, CE-level 1 SEESMART™ armor at the shoulders and elbows keep riders protected. The Airwave 3 can further be fortified via our SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector. The jacket can then be connected to jeans with the double jeans loop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Manage your expectations regarding heat disipation I have been riding with both Airwave pants and jacket for a month now. These are very well constructed products and after adjusting the sizing (thanks for the easy return, FortNine), fit really well. I am 5'7.5", 154 lbs, athletic shape. I am wearing the medium pant (short) and the medium jacket, and they are great in the riding position. Seams, zippers and snaps are all tough and durable, and while it is a bit of an effort to insert the back armour, all protection feels like it is in in the correct place, and are surprisingly thin and light for the protection rating. You can zip the pants and jacket together, but I never saw the need: everything stayed in place, but I might try that in the future. I have ridden them in full summer in Southern Ontario, in Tuscany, Italy, and on the Island of Sardinia in late August. I am not sure what I was expecting: maybe that I could ride across the surface of the sun and have a cool breeze in my pants and no sweat on my brow. I have seen reviews where riders claim they just wear the pants around in the heat for fun because they are so darn comfortable and stylish, but that is not my experience. At the end of 6 hours of riding in the Mediterranean, my t-shirt, shorts, and underwear were sweat-wet. Of course I am not 'leather-suit-hot', or even 'textile-suit-hot', but it is still not perfect. The optimal comfort range is about 20-30 degrees Celsius: below that and I start reaching for a thin merino wool base layer and above, I just set my body on 'fry' and hope for the best. It is possible that if I went one size up I would get better air-flow, but I hate swimming in my gear (unless it is swimming gear... different review). For precipitation, my rain pants went over the Airwave, and rain jacket went underneath. We were in a full deluge, with branches across the road and water on the road so high it topped our boots on a BMW R1200GS. Once the rain stopped the jacket dried up with about an hour of riding. I like this suit and think it is pretty good value for the money. I just think you need to manage your expectations before you buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Air ain't in the name for nothing! Nice jacket. Very comfy, almost all mesh. So you get maximum airflow. Unfortunately it doesn't have a back protector though. You can hardly feel the seesmart protectors. Loses 1 star for the back protector and the fact that it doesn't have a liner in it. If it had a waterproof liner it would be perfect IMO. I usually wear large but went with an XL for this because it's European, runs a bit tighter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! I usually wear a large jacket, so ordered it one size up as recommended. It fits snug, and would probably go 2 sizes up if I had to do it again. The arms cuffs are a little pinchy, but that's alleviated when I wear gloves. Other than that it feels great, and is very comfortable when riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flows a lot of air! Just did my first ride with this jacket. I am 6' 200lbs and the XL fits perfect. I wear a Helite vest over this jacket, air gets in and around the vest and through the jacket. Stayed nice an cool on a hot day! Jacket is well built and has decent protection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect fit! I am 5'8 and 170 lbs (chest 43"). The medium one is perfect for me. The air flows very well through the coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great airflow and style When I opened up the package from Fortnine I was immediately impressed with the quality of materials and tailoring in this jacket. I stuffed in the Seesoft back protector (a very tight fit), which is a separate purchase and went right out on a ride on a 30 degree C day. This jacket is very light compared to my old mesh jacket and has excellent air flow. A very comfortable hot weather jacket. I am 5-11" , 200lb and the XL size just fits nice. Definitely wouldn't want it any smaller. The price point and features of this jacket hit the sweet spot for me. I debated purchasing the less expensive Rev'it! Eclipse jacket but opted for the Airwave3 for its more premium materials and armor. I like the small touches of hi-viz it has vs other jackets which are too hi-viz for my liking. If there was a blue option (to match my bike) I would have gone for that but this option looks great. If I could fault the jacket design at all it's that it does not have a chest pocket. I like to keep my wallet in a chest pocket for easy access on rides. However it does have two lower inside pockets (one on each side) so that is a good thing. This is my first Rev'it! product and based on first impressions it won't be my last!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for those hot days! I have had the opportunity to use the Revit Airwave 3 Jacket on several 30+C days and it is much more comfortable for hot days than my Revit Neptune 2 Gore-Tex Jacket

The sizing chart is just above the Add to Cart button, it's quite accurate.

Is this waterproof for rain/snow purposes?

                  Asked by: revolnootrac
No not waterproof, no liner. It's called airwave because air shoots right through it, it's almost full mesh. Not for you if you're looking for waterproof gear.
