Description
RK's GXW series are the top of the line Superbike and Roadracing chains, offering the best in high-speed and extreme heat performance. The high-tech XW-Ring seal is made from advanced Nitrile Butadiene composite and features three contact lips and two convex inner/outer stabilizers. This means three lubrication pools to protect against high-speed abrasion, heat build-up, torsional flex and the loss of lubricant under extreme conditions.
GXW chain seals are compression and distortion resistant to provide the ultimate in rotating efficiency. As a result, GXW chains provide the user with up to 10 times longer wearlife compared to standard chains.

It's a chain
After 30k km on the OEM chain, it was time for a replacement. BMW wanted $320 for it, which led me to look for alternatives.
Enter the RK GXW chain. It comes in a multitude of colours (only two of which are offered here) and in the common pitch lengths for modern bikes.
The chain comes packaged in RK's grease and includes a rivet master link and grease packet. Installation is straightforward - a YouTube video and a chain tool (I highly recommend the Motion Pro PBR tool) are all you really need. Make sure to replace your front and rear sprockets at the same time to help maximize chain life.
As for the performance and longevity of the chain, I can't really speak to that at this time, but it seems to perform at least as good as the OEM chain.
** At the time of this review, Fort Nine shows a black chain for the "natural" colour option. It's actually your typical grey/silver chain.

Love the gold, not too shiny!
My original chain seemed to have some frozen links, plus 27 thousand klicks, figured it was time. Looked at many choices, this seemed to be perfect for my 650 V-Strom. I needed 116 links, but 120 was available, no problem just removed 4 links. Not a problem if you have chainbreaker tool.
The new chain is much beefier than OE one, which inspires confidence.

Awesome Chain
I got this and installed it myself. I recommend finding out the actually number of links required before purchasing. This will help out as you wouldn't need to cut it to size. I have the tool to break and install the chain, so it was a bit easier for me. Overall, great chain, very quiet and very nice looking gold.
