The Truman by RSD is a classic enduro styled, vintage inspired waxed cotton riding jacket with leather accents. A true instant classic, the Truman is a hybrid construction using two proprietary RSD materials, waxed cotton and Dakota leather. RSD waxed cotton is water and abrasion resistant and we have reinforced the abrasion areas on the Truman with oiled Dakota Leather to give it extra durability, and a unique look and feel. All seams have been double, or triple stitched to meet vigorous CE level safety standards and include innovative, low profile CE level 1 armor by SAS-TEC. The Truman CE looks the part and performs even better.

First Motorcycle jacket in black
I purchased a large size in this jacket. I used the fit instructions they have available for the jacket. I am 5'11" 185lbs, muscular/athletic build. I fit very comfortable within this jacket. there is definitely room for a sweater under this jacket and still feeling comfortable. I it was warm driving in 13 degree temperatures on the east coast of Canada in the fall. I have been wearing a full Alpinestars Bionic Plus V2 Protection Jacket under this coat and feel comfortable. I can easily wear this jacket stand alone as well and it would not fit big. Fitment is perfect here. Quality craftsmanship, soft silky gold/beige interior. Lots of pockets. Place for back, shoulder and forearm protection.

Enjoying the purchase
Agree with the rest of comments about quality and size. I’m 6’, 175 lbs and got L size. It fits great with a single thin layer (no hoodies or sweaters). Never really zip up the neck, most of the time have my neck gaiter.
The jacket is not hot even when temperature is approaching +30 (just keep riding)
Quality and look are exceptional.

Quality materials, the proper look
The jacket looks great and it fits well except for the neck which is much smaller than it needs to be I cannot close the top two buttons I have plenty of room in the body for a sweater.

Does this jacket come with chest and back protection or the capability to house this type of protection? Does this jacket have the capability to change the shoulder and elbow protection for a higher rated protection if desired?
Doesn't come with chest or back protection but has the capability to house the back protection. Also, it has the capability to switch out the shoulder and elbow protection.

Can you confirm this comes with elbow and shoulder armour? I seen many reviews that state it does not.
Yes, it comes with SAS-TEC flex elbow & shoulder armor included.
