Bought these a couple months ago but finally got to put them in this weekend. Very disappointed in the snaps. They don’t hold at all. I’ll have to take them off and put screws in or I’ll end up losing them on the road. Will not recommend these to friends

Poor fit
I would not recommend this product.
I bought this item having previously bought Saddlemen gear and been happy with it.
The bags did not fit my crash bars without using clamps to stretch them into place.
Once in place the snaps would not hold.
The bags literally fell off my bike, in my garage, without me even having started it.
The solution for me was to drill holes and use zip ties.
Had I read reviews before my purchase I would not have bought them, I have read many reviews, now that it's too late, where guys are bolting them onto their bikes.

Tough but poor fitting
Got as a a Christmas gift for my Street Glide. Decent quality but fit is poor. Snaps are too loose. I plan on drilling them out and using flat head screws and nuts/washers

Thick, well made, good value.
Purchased to provide just a little more space for incidentals. These bags are well constructed ( From Vinyl, not leather ) and are sufficient for small items. I would have given them 5 starts but, the little issue is fit. They are about half an inch shorter than the length needed to easily close the button snaps. If you are built like a small gorilla, you can stretch them over the bars and snap them but, they will "pop". I had to drill some very small holes between the button snaps and "help" them stay closed with locking tie wraps. ( So far so good there. ) The other issue is: If you have adjustable passenger floor boards, the bags get in the way of raising and lowering the boards. You can do it but, you will have to compress the bags a little to get the board past them. Not a big deal and certainly not a deal breaker but, don't stuff them full of small items. Leave enough room for the floorboards to fold. I am using them to hold a few bungies ( In case I want to buy a honda and bring it home on the luggage rack ) and other small, soft items that only get used once in a while. Do I recommend them? Yes. As long as you are aware of the caveats.

Good bags
I just bought the back guard bags. Although they didn't quit fit the Honda VTX 1800 T, I retrofitted them as I thought the snaps did not close correctly or came apart.
What impresses me about these bags is that they are waterproof and very handy to carry a bottle on the side and important papers in the pouch. I was rather pleased over the spacious interiors.

Questions
do these saddlemen saddle bag guard set fit a 2010 kawasaki vulcan nomad 1700? or do you have another set that would fit?
I've got them on a 2015 Roadking and I believe they are listed up to 2013 models.They have a couple rows of snaps for various adjustments and since they're not too expensive I would give them a try
