          Description

Meet the Spider ST1, an affordable mesh-equipped headset with a glove-friendly jog-dial control, by Sena. The Spider ST1 and the three-button controlled Spider RT1 are Sena's first motorcycle communication headsets operating exclusively on the groundbreaking Mesh intercom platform, at an impressive price.

Sena's premium Mesh technology, as first seen in the flagship 50S and 50R headsets, streamlines rider-to-rider communication and now delivers that same robust reliability for all Spider ST1 users. The Spider ST1 features two different Sena Mesh Intercom™ modes: Group Mesh Intercom and Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom. The Spider ST1 is compatible with all Sena Mesh-equipped devices including the Spider RT1, 50S, 50R, 30K, Momentum EVO, and any Sena Bluetooth device that is connected to the +Mesh Adapter. The HD Speakers were designed with a low-profile and tapered bevel to reduce the possibility of ear-to-edge chafe, and as always, fit into existing helmet speaker pockets. The HD speakers deliver crisp communication sound quality, with a marked increase in volume, bass boost, and clarity. The Spider ST1 is equipped with Sena's Audio Multitasking™ technology so you can have a conversation via Mesh Intercom™ while simultaneously operating your smartphone's Bluetooth features like music, GPS, or phone calls.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It is not supposed to die. Bought a double unit. Sound quality when noise filtering is working correctly is pretty good. Sometimes the filtering activates intrusively and struggles to pass any intelligible audio across. Not exactly clear on what causes this condition. Experience on full face helmet, visor down, chin curtain installed. just as prevalent with visor open and chin curtain removed. Frequency of this behaviour was more common during first half year, for some reason unknown to me, was a lot less common these past ~6 months. Had one of the units fail. Failure was shortly after a ride through a storm (miserable to ride through). This was not the first exposure to rain, both units have been through multiple rain events prior to this (very light rain). Initiated warranty process with Sena. Have a big trip coming up, disassembled the non-failed unit to apply dielectric grease internally on connectors and water ingress points to prevent another failure. Taking apart the unit, it seems like only 4 of the 5 screws had some sort of sealant on them (if that is what it is), so may not be a reliable assembly process 2 circuit boards inside, it is unclear how the jog wheel is sealed so a lot of dielectric grease was shoved in there. grease in all the connectors, grease on antenna where it passes through the body. Is this product for you? Do you only ride in the dry? No problem, this unit will work for you. Do you ride in light rain and like to gamble? Maybe also ok for you. Do you ride in heavy rain and don't like to burn your wallet? Not for you! NOTE: Nowhere in the user manuel does it say to keep this unit away from rain or wet conditions. Honestly like the wheel as an interface, overall a decent unit if it didn't fail from the wet. Bought units without the jog wheel (hoping for better water resistance without the ingress point) since the warranty process will not get me another unit before trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Easy connectivity and use of features. App is ok. I use these with my wife while she is on her bike. Voice sensitivity is a bit finicky while talking with here and listening to music. If riding solo it’s no problem because I just turn off the mic.
