Quality plate terrible fit
Arrived along with the sw-motech crash bars within 4 days, crash bars were a breeze to install but the engine guard took some bending and drilling to put on. If your handy its worth it but you will curse during install

Modification needed
Sadly the mounting holes in the top front don't line up. I had to dremel both holes out a 1/4" to the sides and then cinch the plate around to get it bolted on. The plate itself is solid with good welds, just terrible fitment.

Difficile à installer
J’ai acheté et installer je ne sais pas encore comment ca va ce comporter hors route il me semble bien solide mais question installation c’est de la Criss de marde ca ma pris 1h pour 4 boulons difficile a alligner j’espere ne pas avoir a l’enlever

Dont fit at all
Lets go straight to the point: this thing does not fit on the bike at all.
If you read on internet, you'll see this is common problem.
Really disappointing for a 180$ piece of aluminium.
Now I wait for fortnine's answer on wjat we can do with that.

Excellent quality
Excellent quality, protection and fit on the bike. If not done with proper methods, it can be hard to installe or might look as if it doesn't fit. The trick is to leave all screws loose until they are all in place. The most important thing is to use a bottle type jack under the skid plate to push it up during install, at the same time, this leaves both of your hands free to do what guy have to do. This is an old KLR650 wrencher trick, so now you know. Ride safe.

Perfect fit with a taller than most front side using the oem “wings”, super easy install, just remember to leave all the fasteners loose until all the bolts are in

Tough, but a beast to install
Fitment was not the greatest. I started by installing the two rear bolts, then using a jack to raise the plate up as far as it will go. I had to bend the forward brackets down using a pry bar to get everything lined up. I'm happy with it now, but it was a real chore.
