Perfect when using a solar panel
All the bikes we own are connected to a small 2W solar panel when not in use. Doing so, I've seen a longer battery life with time (doubled with a lead-acid one that needs maintenance). It's like a trickle charger that provides enough power used while bike "sleeps". This polarity converter is needed since the panel SAE plug has the positive connector insulated as per the battery tender harness, so you end up with inverted polarity. Not good. I had my own home made converter cables but weren't as sturdy as those. Only thing I would have liked is an integrated fuse holder, jsut for safety's sake.
