Description
The Alpinestars SMX 2 Air Carbon Gloves have returned in a refined second iteration with a sleeker aesthetic and streamlined carbon knuckle. The protection has been increased with the addition of various highly-vented TPR inserts including a TPR reinforcement at the wrist closure.
The construction is as formidable as ever with full grain leather, suede reinforcements and 3D mesh panels on the backhand. Flexibility and comfort has been improved, however, with the incorporation of ergonomic stretch inserts between the thumb and palm and accordion stretch at the fingers. Finished off with touchscreen compatible fingers, the Alpinestars SMX 2 Air Carbon V2 Gloves are the ultimate lightweight summer street riding gloves.

Great gloves...questionable longevity
Bought as a gift in 2017, rode probably 7000 kms with them. They're comfy (not too tight not too bulky/heavy) and ability to use touchscreen very useful. However, the wrist strap on one glove already broke, and there's lots of fraying in the stitching near finger joints. Granted, yes I know wear and tear, but I have another cheaper comparable style of glove with more use and abuse and it's holding together much better.

First pair
I bought these maybe a month ago and have worn them probably around 10-15 times already. Fit was good at first but now that they have stretched out a little bit. Seams are starting to fray, even from the limited time worn. Good when it's hot out, keeps my fingers cool, but also when riding at night, they don't get super cold.

I bought these gloves about a month ago and have been riding with them about 3-4 times a week. They have good protection and fit great. Only things to look out for is they stretch a decent amount, so don't worry if they're a bit tight when you get them. Also, the fingers aren't capped at the end, so the seam can bother your index finger especially.

Great gloves
Awesome gloves. It's been reccomended to go up a size, however, I had no problems sticking with my size large. After some breaking in, I have the snug fit you expect out of a glove.

Really Good Looking Gloves
Bought last April, so far so good, but they are quite stiff still... Knuckle is covered with carbon fibre which looks really cool. Great protection all around! But they are not very cool in summer. Really great for beginning/end of riding season.

Excellent gloves
Found gloves stiff first couple of rides but once they stretched out a bit they feel great. Hands didn't get too cold on highway or warm during city traffic. Overall a good choice.

Great looking gloves.
I just bought the gloves. I'm happy so far with them. But I do have a couple gripes though.
They are quite stiff, although I'm sure as more time passes the leather will become more worn in.
And the other is that in the description it's states that both the index finger and thumb are touch screen compatible. I do want to clarify that the thumb is NOT touch screen compatible.
