Biltwell Lane Splitter Anti-Fog Shield Item # 615256
Description
Biltwell Lane Splitter anti-fog face shields features an optically precise injection-molded polycarbonate shield in solid or reflective finishes. Universally fits all Lane Splitter helmet sizes. One stainless steel snap secures the shield while in the down position.
Note: Newer Biltwell helmets may have updated faceshield baseplates and may require a Gen 1 Baseplate Kit(sold seperately).

- UV rated at UV +50 with over 92% UVA block and over 99% UVB block regardless of tint or color
- Shields were evaluated for UV resistance as per test method AATCC 183

Came in scratched
Looks great but came in scratched... tried to wipe it with a glasses wipe and......... it added some scratches. The quality built is terrible, doesn't fit 100% as the original and doesn't seem to be durable at all. I'm overall disappointed even though it looks good I have no idea how much this is gonna last if after 1 usage/clean up the shield accumulate a bunch of scratches. This is definitely overpriced.

Good vision but...
This visor works well. Positive is a large field of vision. Negatives are marking/scratching waaaaaaay to easy and the stages for opening and closing suck.

Good but not great
I liked the tint. Easy install. Still fogs a bit but disipates. Getting air from the top edge. Tried adjusting but cant fix.

Hi everyone, I am thinking of upgrading to a chrome mirrored shield for better sunlight protection. Does anyone know how this shield will perform in cloudy or dark riding conditions? How is the visibility? Or is it like wearing sunglasses at night?
It is very similar to wearing sunglasses, almost identical really.

which one would be the darkest one for riding on a sunny day ?
The Rainbow Mirror shield would most definitely be the darkest in my opinion. I have the black and rainbow.
