READ BEFORE BUYING FOR HD SPORTSTER
Fortnine is great. READ BEFORE BUYING FOR YOUR HARLEY SPORTSTER... I've had good experiences using fortnine always a great service. COBRA exhausts however sound great BUT I had to cut about and inch and a half off of the mounting bracket so it doesn't RUB THE BIKES BELT while riding.. with mid controls I have to have the heatsheild off on the lower pipe just for my back brake lever to go far enough down to engage and not even engage entirely. I thought getting forward controls would fix the issue. Maybe I bought bad quality forward controls but the lower pipe comes super close down the side of the motor and leaves no clearance what so ever for the extension to the reservoir. It blocks it from getting anywhere even close to the resovior and if bent will not be long enough to reach it. Yes the exhaust fits.. BARELY!!! shouldn't have cheated out and just went vance and hines...

Sounds good, looks even better
I spent a long time deciding on what I was going to replace the stock exhaust with. I has some concerns with the Cobra 909 as it is fairly inexpensive compared to the other options, and there is very little info / reviews for them. But in the end I decided they looked too good not to give them a try. While I knew I'd like the look, I'm happy to report that they also sound really good too. Big improvement over the stock system. Not so loud that they get annoying but enough to match the look of the bike, and help you be heard as well as seen when on the road. Finally, the install went as expected, 2 hours from start to finish. Overall I'm very happy with the system and would encourage anyone that I considering them to give them a try.

Loud but not annoying Loud
I hadn’t even considered these at first, didn’t think I wanted shortees, but after watching a lot of videos and listening to several sound clips there just something about these that kept me coming back. I will tell you that the videos don’t do these justice. They are louder than I expected, I don’t know if it was because the bikes on videos that I watched had the smaller engines or just or it loses something thru the mic when recorded but when I fired it up the first time the only thing I thought was my neighbours are going to hate me. They aren’t a harsh open pipe loud but a very deep throaty rumble. After riding a few times I got used them and am very glad I bought them.
Installation note: line the baffles up with the screw holes in heat shields and pipes then remove the screw before installing pipes on the bike. This will save you huge time versus trying to line them up while the pipes are hanging loosely on the bike

Nice kit, service impeccable, peinture douillette
Lorsque j'ai commandé le kit, je me suis trompé de code de fabricant (édition pour les sportster précédents). J'ai écris un courriel 10 minutes après et l'équipe de Fortnine m'ont répondu le lendemain matin. Ils se sont occupés de changer la commande pour inclure le bon kit! Sérieusement A+ pour le service. L'exhaust vient avec tout sauf les gaskets. Bien emballé. Le son est nettement plus grave et plus fort. Je n'ai pas de comparaison sauf le stock, je dirais +/- 1/3 plus fort et c'est suffisant, beau son en accélérant et surtout en décélération! Étant au Québec, je ne voulais pas quelque chose trop bruyant (à 200$ le ticket, non merci!). L'installation est raisonnable si vous avez un minimum de compétence manuelles. Faites vraiment attention à la peinture, un petit coup de rachet et bang une belle scratch... c'est le seul point négatif, la peinture est plutôt douillette, sinon la teinte est semblable à la couleur d'origine. Je suis satisfait de ce kit, espérons juste que je vais pouvoir rouler tranquille dans notre Belle Province! Pour le prix, très difficile à battre selon moi.

Great choice for exhaust
Budget dictated that I buy these but I think they’re more than worth the price. I can’t speak to longevity but look and ease of install are amazing. There were some reviews I read about trouble lining up the baffles and getting the screws in but as long as you’re lined up before sliding them in they go in fairly easily.
Very happy with this choice.

Does this come with exhaust flanges and gaskets?
No you have to take the oem flange and get new gasket. Sold separately.

Do these pipes work with forward controls?
I have 2014 48 with forward controls, so yes, they fit perfectly.
