Riding boot
I literally have just recieved these, haven't had a chance to ride them yet, the weekend is close. That said, I've been riding for nearly 30 yrs & had a few boots for the bikes over the years. The First Gear, this is a touring short boot. Looks amazing, and also the build is very solid, very impressed. We'll see how they ride, but my first impression is very good!
I Was riding in Alpinestar Spektors, which are fine for city and light touring duty. Used the Astars on a couple northern Ontario tours, they were fine, but better suited for weekend burn outs.
These Palisades feel like they are more suited for tougher tasks. Both are good riding short boots.
The First Gear are looking for a campfire and a tent after a few hours of riding in the rain, the Alpine stars, looking for a cappuccino after burning up the rear rubber and heading for home . Just my thoughts.

Very good for the price
Very solid motorcycle boots. If you don’t want to spend the money on the alpines, these are a great buy.
