I love it!
Even though I saw a bad review I took a chance and I'm not disappointed, it feels great, good quality for the price and all the protection is included. Im 6'1 and 220 and I took Large it fits a bit tight because I have large shoulders and waist so if you wanna wear a hoodie under Id recommend a size up but appart from that great jacket!

I bought it for rainy weather. We ended up having both rain and hot sunny days. It worked great for both. Vents opened in the back to keep me cool. Even with all the padding ( big plus) it was a perfect fit.

A Beautiful Ventilated Jacket and Not Much More
I’ve had this jacket in red since April 2021 and have put about 800km on it, including one overnight trip. Now I’m using it as my slick summer city jacket, and not much else.
Pros:
- it looks cool. Icon did a great job on the design here with what may be the only modern retro sport jacket on the market.
- it has strong ventilation options. With a second main zipper of mesh ventilation, ventilation zips along the front and back of the shoulders, and along the wrist, air passes through this otherwise tight textile jacket with ease.
Cons:
- Medium, my normal size, is too tight on me. I’m 6’ and 165lbs and the jacket fits perfectly lengthwise, but it’s too tight along the shoulders. I would size up if I were to get it again.
- light on extras. With only two side pockets, and the ventilation zips, I feel I’m left wanting another pocket or some removable insulation.
- the zippers feel cheap. They can be stiff to open and close, and are not kind on gloved hands. God forbid I forget to close one of the pockets before riding away because pulling at it from a stop light is not ideal. I have an Icon Anthem jacket and know from that piece that Icon knows what good zippers are.
PS. The white requires maintenance! It looks great, but will need scrubbing at least once a year to keep dark spots from forming around the zippers where my dirty mitts are smearing constantly.

Great ventilation
I was looking for a low profile jacket that offers great protection and that I can wear in both cool and hot temps. This jacket really delivers! The adjustable vents on the back, shoulders, wrists, and full length front zipper vent are amazing. I've worn this jacket in close to 30° temps and have yet to get overheated. It's lightweight considering the armour in it, and overall great riding jacket.
I'm a female, 5'8" 170lbs and a medium fits perfectly (regular cut, not women's cut)

Great Jacket
Awesome jacket, bought it last year and do not regret it. Keeps you warm enough on the cold days and keeps you dry.

Great jacket!
Bought this jacket about a month ago and I am pleased with everything about it so far. The hoodie storage was different from what I expected, but it stows fine without too much interference for shoulder checks. I like the vented option at the front so that you can allow a breeze through on the warmer days.

Multi purpose jacket
Good value - D30 armour is included. Take the armour out and it’s a street jacket. For riding, the only thing I don’t like is the hood. It doesn’t stow away neatly. For a new rider with a street bike this is a good choice for a first riding jacket that’s not too expensive, has protection included and can be worn as a regular jacket.

Great idea, poor execution
Good: colour, full suite of protection and lots of "stowable" venting.
Bad: Stitching of cuffs and various seams are incomplete/falling apart right out of the box. Biggest issue, the central mesh liner does not line up with main zipper. This means it continuously unzips (see picture).
Misc: I have no idea how to stow the hood.
I would return this product if it was not for the fact that I want full protection and need a jacket to pick up my new bike next week.

Does anyone know if the fit much different from the merc jacket? I have narrow shoulders and the merc in my size is comically large on top, wondering if I would have better luck with this one?
Does anyone know the size for the d30 back protector? I bought a medium but the d30 back protector seems really small. It's floating in the pocket.
The size is the same as described for the Medium D30: https://fortnine.ca/en/icon-d3o-viper-2-back-protector
