Description

Heated handlebar grips with universal fitting. Outer and inner material: 100% polyester. In addition to providing excellent protection from the cold, with the internally padded polyester fabric, you can have actual heat simply by connecting it to the motorcycle's battery. You can adjust the heat using a switch that has four levels: 40% (WHITE), 60% (LIGHT BLUE), 80% (VIOLET), 100% (RED). Having excellent hand protection will allow you to wear even lighter gloves, improving sensitivity to the controls. Assembly is simple, thanks to a quick fixing system that does not require the removal of the handlebar balancers.

How do they work?

There is a heating element inside these handlebar grips which heats up while remaining flexible and without overheating. They warm up quickly (in approximately three minutes), eliminating the issue of the winter cold once and for all. There is no danger of an electric shock because the voltage is very low.

Note: In addition to connecting directly to the motorcycle battery, it is possible to connect them to the KAPPA Power Hub kit via a USB port (part #s KS110 + KS111).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good muffs, but the heaters do nothing. These muffs fit very well -- better than my Hippo Hands even. They have plenty of room inside to operate the controls and they cinch tightly to the bars. There are several attachment straps that can be used to secure them to the bike. The openings have drawstrings, which retain heat and stop air from flowing into the muff from the backside. This is a neat feature that no other muff I've tried has, and it works too! If I cinch them up pretty tight, I can just about seal them to my jacket. No air gets in, and my hands stay much warmer than with my Hippo Hands Alcan muffs, which have a gigantic opening. When cinching the ends, it's still easy to reach in quickly to grab the controls. However, to get the cinched material around my wrist it takes a bit of fiddling. Now the seal is the best part, and that's unfortunate. These are heated muffs, and the heat should be the best part. But it's not. The heat is minimal. Very minimal. There are four settings of heat, and I can't tell a difference between any of them when I'm touching the elements with my bare hands. My firstgear heated jacket liner has a similar button system and I can feel the difference in heat levels in moments. When actually riding with these muffs, the heat does nothing whatsoever. I rode with the heat on, I rode with it off, and I could tell no difference. I even unplugged the right muff and had only the left on, and could tell no difference. I tried both light summer gloves and heavy winter gloves inside, and again no difference. The heat is unfortunately poorly implemented. The only thing that made a difference in my comfort was cinching the entry tight enough to seal against my jacket. I've got a heated jacket liner that gets uncomfortably HOT. I've had heated grips that would almost burn my palms. These heating elements are pathetically under-powered, and do nothing to even take the edge off. It wasn't even like I was riding in extreme temperatures either, it was 43 degrees F outside. Overall I give these an A for design, an A for fit and finish, and an F for heating. One last thing, the plug is close to, but slightly different than, the connector harness from Gerbing, First Gear, Tourmaster, and Warm N Safe. This means you have to buy Kappa's harness if you want to use these on multiple bikes. But trust me, you don't.

Questions

It says universal but I'd like to confirm if this would fit on a motorcycle (mine: Honda CRF250 Rally) because what's pictured is a scooter and I'm thinking this is smaller...
