        Description

Michelin tubes are made with 100% butyl rubber, renowned for their ability to maintain air pressure over long periods of time. Butyl is also highly resistant to wear, friction and easily repaired. Unlike inexpensive tubes, which are made from straight sections of rubber tube formed into a circle, Michelin tubes are manufactured and cured in a circular mold. This method reduces tension on the tube when inflated and diminishes the likelihood of pinch flats. Michelin tubes are available in a wide array of sizes. Each size is designed for only a few specific applications, so that the tube and tire match perfectly without placing undue stress on the tube.

        Tube Sizing:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exemplary, given the circumstance I bought this as a spare for my 21" front wheel (90/90/21), but got a flat on my 17" rear tire (130/80/17) in the middle of nowhere. Because of pandemic, I had no more spare 17" tubes, so I had to use the 21", super thick (4mm) tube. Difficult to say how many folds and creases I caused jamming it in, then the ride out was nasty (high speed black top, baby heads, washouts ... you name it). Did about 150km with this setup and pulled the tube when I got it home. Looks great, ran fantastic, very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very HD / thick tube I just installed one of these on a 21" front wheel. I also ordered a cheaper, different brand UHD tube. The Michelin tubes were more expensive, but are literally double the thickness of the other UHD tube. I don't see how you could ever get a pinch flat with these - if you want ultra heavy duty, these Michelin tubes are the way to go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Will not buy again I did 27h with this tube (rear wheel) (100% enduro, no Mx). Did 5 races of 2h with it and the rest is trail riding in the forest and having fun with friends. The tube started to deformed and pushed on the sidewalls of my tire making my whole wheel wobble. From what i understand, the michelin tube are not made from natural rubber and are prone to deforme. Pretty sad to know that last year i raced 7 times + pratice with my original Dunlop tube without any incident. I will buy another brand now. (i am not a hardcore rider, amateur/intermediat).

Is this suitable for dual sport use? Up to 120-130km/h?

        Asked by: Chris
Yes. The 4 mm UHD tubes allow me to air down for off road use. But, I always reinflate my tires for road usage, gravel or pavement.
