How To Measure:
- Length: Maximum length of front tire to rear tire / rear top box / rear fender. Whichever makes contact with cover. Measure from front to back across the longest parts of your motorcycle. Measure in a straight line without any contours or bends.
- Front Width: Maximum width of handlebar, mirror or fairing. Whichever is wider.
- Rear Width: Maximum width of seat, fairing, for top case, or saddlebags. Whichever is wider. Measure from left to right across the widest part of your motorcycle. Measure in a straight line without any contours or bends.
- Height: Maximum height of windshield, mirrors or handlebars. Whichever is taller. Measure from the tallest point of your motorcycle to about the bottom of your brake rotor. If you have a top case or tour trunk, please consider the ADV or 2XL size cover.

Nelson-Rigg is the best
I had bought a Nelson-Rigg for my Ninja 1000. I wanted a cover that was big enough for the side cases. I had bought the "Adventure" size if I remember correctly. I traded the Ninja 1000 for a BMW R1250GS with the 3 aluminium cases and the ADV size is just not big enough.
Based on some review online, I bought a 2XL. Works great, fits perfectly on the big GS, I usually don't ride with the topbox, so I don't leave it on the bike, but I'm confident it would fit under the cover, although without the cover goes lower in the back.
Rain pools on it, it will take many many years for the sun to burn through it, or at least the sun in the Montreal area... or before global warning makes it as hot as Arizona in Quebec...

Excellent Quality
Bought this for my 2015 Ultra Limited with a tour-pac on. Fit is great. Excellent quality. Stays on in the wind and rain. I took my antennas off, as I don’t use them, and didn’t want to poke holes in the canvas. They supply grommets if you’re going to go that route. Highly recommend.

Good Quality
I just upgraded from the Nelson Riggs All Season to the Defender Extreme, and so far it was well worth the money. The material is a lot heavier, more durable and the fitted elastic all around the bottom keeps if very snug, not worried about the wind anymore. I purchased the medium for my bike and it just fits, it is snug over the mirrors, so it is smaller than the medium I had in the all season model.

Great Cover
I purchased BMW brand motorcycle covers for my motorcycle in the past. They were made for my specific model BMW. They tended to last about 3 years at most, and then UV deterioration would start tearing them apart. My son had a single, cheaper Nelson-Rigg cover for his many different bikes over this same stretch of time, and it lasted and lasted. So when I needed yet another cover, I looked to Nelson-Rigg products. I decided on the Defender Extreme as it looked to be put together well, had air venting, included a tie-together velcro loop to keep it on in the wind, and came with a lifetime guarantee! I've had it for a few months now. It fits well, IS built well, has already been through some rain and snow, is more heavy-duty than my previous covers, and I have every expectation that it will last me for at least several years! And it comes with a free stuff sack!

Not what I expected
Returned this and upgraded to the oxford one with the solar window. Just wast as tight fitting and thick as expected. Might have worked well, especially for a travel cover, but wouldn’t cut it for leaving outside all the time on mine.

Does the job and deserves a raise
It’s covered my KLR through a few solid BC fall rainstorms and I’m pleased. Good thick material that feels like it won’t rip easily. Seems breathable too. I like the under bike clip too. Yup, it’s what a cover should be.
