Increased comfort
I use the Airhawk DS on my Honda CB500X which has a Seat Concepts seat. The Airhawk certainly increases comfort. It takes a few tries to get the inflation level just right. I still get a bit squirmy after 3 hours in the saddle, but I'm 70 and have a lower threshold for discomfort than I did many years ago. Every bit of added comfort helps.

Works great on my stock seat (CRF1000)
Bought the AirHark DS for a 6,500km 13 day ride to the Tail of the Dragon.
I wanted the larger AirHawk, but a friend who have had a couple of them gave me that good advice: Don't pick an Airhawk larger than your butt, because the air cells communicate with each other and all the air will go away from where you sit.
I'm glad i've followed his advice, it's the right size for my bike (2016 Honda CRF1000) and for my butt (i'm 5'-11" 160 lbs)
Installation, adjustment and removal are very easy.
Without the AirHawk, i feel pain after only 100ish kilometers.
With the AirHawk properly adjusted (barely inflated) i can go about 300 kilometers before i feel pain.
So this is no miracle, at least for me, but i think it's a 150$ very well invested.

the best solution so far
I bought the air hawk a month ago for my Africa Twin, takes a little getting used to but it really helps on long rides.

Very Comfy
I bough one for myself and the pillion for my gf and we really like it the truth is that is very comfortable, it definitely helps will longer rides, stays in place and is easy to set how much air you want in it. My only gripe will be that it separates you a little bit from the machine so I won't use it for a demanding canyon carving ride, but then again it wasn't intended for that.

Love it
Successful completed the Cannonball 1000 (1622 km) 2 days, my tush and hip would normally be incredibly sore, this is awesome! Best investment and so much cheaper than a custom seat. This is fabulous

Single greatest tour item
Cannot say enough good things about this. To say it doubles your riding time is a gross understatement. I made it from Toronto to New York in total relative comfort.

Very Impressed
I have been nothing but impressed with my AirHawk.
It has easily given me at least 6 hours more a$$ than I had before I bought it.

Very comfortable!
Bought this for my DR650 and it made such a difference! Highly recommend it.
I found that the best comfort was met with very little air in the seat pad.

Can this seat pad be used on 2006-2008 Honda CBR 1000 RR rear seat? If not, what would be the next best recommendation to increase passenger comfort on the older Fireblade bikes?
I have a Kawasaki concours. I use this seat for myself but bought a Cruiser Pillion seat for the passenger. That might be a better fit.

Can I use it for a passenger? Just strapping it inverse? Riding with passenger on a Versys 650, after 40-45 minutes my passenger starts to complain. I do not want to buy AirHawk 2 as I read to much bad feedbacks about quality and longevity.
It will work on whatever seat you strap it to.

Is the airhawk cusion seat waterproof? Will it still be effective if left over night on the bike in the rain??
It works well for me. Leave it in the rain and just wipe it off as you would your seat. I never take it off.

Has anyone bought one for a CBF1000? Curious how it fits and looks on the bike. Thanks in advance. My bike is a 2011 model...
I bought mine for a gsxr 600 , it was the smaller sport air hawk seat and it fit great. I sold that bike but still use airhawk on my vstrom 1000 seat which is obviously bigger, they are handy to have if your touring.
