It's adequate
The gauge is very handy to have and worked as a replacement for my old cap that broke. My two biggest criticisms is that the design allows debris to collect on top of the o-ring and drop into the oil tank when you open it. The fitment is not tight enough to prevent that. The seals on the temp gauge are not waterproof and will have moisture collect inside the gauge.
