Description
The i30 was created from years of design and research, bringing the best open face helmet to the market. It starts with the next generation face shield. This new Pinlock ready shield offers a wide distortion-free view and now has a reinforced frame around the lower edges to reduce wind turbulence. The shield also uses the tool-less, quick release base plate system for easy to use install/removal. We also updated the internal sun shield with an increased coverage area than our previous model. The 3 top vent intake system provides maximum airflow into the helmet, while the rear exhaust spoiler creates a vacuum effect flushing out the heat. The Multi-Cool top liner and cheek pad interior gives additional cooling features with its moisture-wicking anti-bacterial fabric. The 2 Shell/3 EPS breakdown reduces the weight of the helmet and offers better sizing. The i30 is also Smart HJC ready to accept the 10B or 20B Bluetooth systems ( sold separately). Overall, this new Open Face helmet will be the choice of riders for years to come.

Great helmet for the price except for one major fl
I've put about 1500 km in this helmet so far this year. It is a lot like my 3 yr old HJC 3/4 helmet. It fits a bit tighter in the cheeks, but is starting to loosen up. Sizing is same as old helmet. The smoke visor.control is in an inconvenient location if you want to mount my communications devices that clip on.
My MAJOR beef with this helmet is the "upgraded" top frront vent. Doesnt matter if it is open or closed, the fit is loose and it rattles a lot. Ride a lot at highway speed and I'm not sure how to stop it other than gluing it open or closed.

Fantastic Helmet
The helmet has a great field of vision with a distortion free face shield. It fits a comms system very well and has excellent air flow. Some noise, but it is still very quiet. I have wear this daily for over 100 km of commuting and pleasure riding.

Good value for relatively inexpensive helmet
Received this today and feedback is based on a quick1 hr test ride and comparing this to other 2 HJC helmets i own ( Modular and full Face)
Helmet weighs 3lbs, a full 1lbs lighter then my HJC modular. Its a medium oval shape. Padding is a bit excessive on the cheek pads, could have used more on the crown. Above average Airflow through the top vents with visor down and noise level's are on the quieter side.
My major gripe is the placement for the slide for tinted drop down. The slider is on the bottom left on towards the front. A bit fiddly with gloves on and have to position bluetooth more towards the back.
Overall I am happy with my purchase and as always appreciate Fort9's super fast delivery and great customer service

C'est vraiment un très bon casque de moto. Au début, il était vraiment très serré au niveau des joues. Le problème a disparu après quelques semaines d'usage. Pour les températures plus froides, je lève la visière d'un cran pour empêcher la buée de se former.

Better than I’d hoped for.
This helmet is fulfilling my needs. I can’t stand windscreens as an add-on to a classic style of bike so a helmet with a face shield is my only option. The HJC i30 provides great visibility, doesn’t heat my noggin up up like a full helmet, and is quieter than I’d anticipate (yes, I still hear wind noise but theres no ‘whistling’ sound). It fit a bit snug in the cheek area but after a month+ of steady use it’s the padding has relaxed or packed enough that I no longer notice it. I did end up putting a tinted visor on, I find it light enough for short nighttime rides but would likely put the clear one on for a several hour nighttime run. The tinted visor helped to enhance the drop down visor on extremely sunny days.

Questions
Will this helmet accept the Sena SMH10R communicator, or only the ones listed?
Unfortunately, we haven't tested this device on this helmet, and we could not find other users who have done so, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't fit but we are unable to confirm.

Do these HJC i30 helmets come with a smoke visor or can you buy a smoke visor?
It's a built-in visor, separate from the main shield. Retractable using the side mechanism.
