Cut from the same 1.3mm cowhide leather used for Alpinestars’ race suits, the GP Plus R line is the gold standard for track level protection and performance in a street package. The GP Plus R V2 is designed with significantly more strategic stretch panels than its predecessor, resulting in a much more flexible, comfortable jacket without sacrificing safety.
Armor is standard at the limbs and CE Level 2 Nucleon is available for the back and chest. Zipper Slider are very bad
I had an issue with my right sleave zipper slider after 2 months wearing this jacket, I contacted Alpinestars and they sent me a new one, I had to pay to get it fix, then, I had the same issue but on the left sleave one, contact their customer service, they answer the first time but then just ignored my emails, their customer service is not good, I will sell or give away this jacket and buy another one from a different brand.

Superb Quality & Protection
Awesome jacket for sportbike riders. I rode with it on a 10c day, way too cool, the jacket really breaths well. I need to try it on a 30c day, which we haven't had yet. Make sure you measure yourself carefully as recommended and go one size larger.

Solid jacket
Solid jacket. Looks good AND very functional. I am super happy I bought this and would recommend it to anybody. I went into it thinking it's a big investment, and it is, but I think it's totally worth it.
I got this one rather than any of the airflow models because I tend to get cold very easily, and I have not had an issue with too much breeze.

Inspires confidence
Love this jacket! High quality and very durable. Looks great too! It is a good compliment to my GP-R perforated leather jacket. I use the V2 when the weather runs a bit cooler; keeps me surprisingly warm. I am 6'0", 180 lbs with a 42" chest. I purchased the XL or 54eu or 44USA. Slightly large with just a t-shirt but I usually have another layer as well and then the fit is perfect. I will say it again; I love this jacket!

Great jacket
Had it about a month so far fits nice armour stays where it should nothing shifts around or feels out of place I’m a big guy skinny but tall wide shouldered the shoulders are a bit tight at first but it’s breaking in and feeling much better after a few weeks the shoulders had pressure points under the hard armour on the top but it’s seems to be taking my shape now and not bothering me anymore for the price some proper armour not the junk foam in the shoulders elbows and back would be nice but I had an older jacket I transferred it from ...

I bought this about 2 months ago, living in mtl, we get rain, heat, wind and so forth. the vents work very well.
sizing was the difficult part. i tried a couple at my local shops to figure out the size i needed. And then buy it on fortnine! get the color you want, and the style is amazing!

Great fit and protection!
I got this as a replacement to my gear before that had been shredded in a crash and decided to go with leathers instead of textile this time.
Unfortunately, I had a chance to test the resilience of my leather gear in a crash on Vancouver Island the other day. I low sided on a patch of gravel and my jacket and pants (Jagg leathers) took the brunt of the hit. Apart from a few abrasions on the jacket, it came out perfectly fine. the shoulder and arm protectors did its work marvelously and I have some battle scars on my jacket to show now.
I gave it three stars for air flow because it IS a non-perf; there are little perforations on certain areas and two vents near the collar bone that allow air to go in but this will get you sweating madly on a hot day. Protection is set at four stars because it came without a back protector and I inserted my Komine spine protector from a past jacket that I had
I'd definitely recommend this jacket as a high quality, decently priced protection choice for anyone looking out there

Is this jacket purposely short to sort of make you have to get the pants or is it long enough to be worn just with denims/jeans?Thanks in advance
I wear it all the time with jeans......it is alittle shorter in the front so it doesn't bunch up when in the standard riding position and longer in the back to minimize wind lift and drafts on your back end.

Yes, this jacket has a 360 degree zipper for pant attachment. A very good jacket.
